The Alachua County
Scholastic Chess Association

Remember that we have our last summer tournament this Friday, July 23 at the Tower Road Library. See details below.

For summer 2010 we are holding three different sets of summer activities:

1 SUMMER CAMPS: The ACSCA is holding two one-week camps this summer. The first is 6/21-25 at Wiles Elementary and the second is 7/19-23 at Chiles Elementary. Sign up now and put these on your summer schedule. You may sign up for either one or both. The camps are not duplicates of one another and many kids will attend both. The daily schedule for the first camp is available on the web page.
2
GATOR KIDS CHESS CLUB: The Gator Chess Club is hosting a gator kids chess club that meets 5:30pm-7pm in the New Engineering Building on most Thursday nights throughout the summer. UF Gator Chess Club members will supervise the children and help them improve their chess game. See details and exact dates here.
3
SUMMER TOURNAMENTS: We will hold chess tournaments open to all K-12 students on the final Friday of each chess camp. The June Tournament will be on June 25th and the July Tournament on July 23. Kids can play in these tournaments even if they do not participate in the summer camp. There will be sections for all levels of play.
