Westside Park Spring Chess Championship

Special 2-Sunday Event - open to all ages

Sundays, April 26th and May 3rd, 2009

Westside Park Recreation Center, 1001 NW 34th St, Gainesville, FL

Four sections: Open, U1500, U1100, U700

All sections will be USCF-rated. USCF membership required.

For Open and U1500 sections:

4 rounds at G45 (rounds at 1:30pm and 3pm on each Sunday)

For U1100 and U700 section:

6 rounds at G30: (rounds at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 on each Sunday)

Prizes in Open: Prizes in U1500:

Overall: 1st: $150, 2nd: $75 Overall: 1st: $100, 2nd: $50

U1700: 1st: $75 U1300: 1st: $50

Prizes in U1100: Prizes in U700:

Overall: 1st: $50, 2nd: $25 Trophies to 1st, 2nd and 3rd

U900: 1st: $25

You must either register online by 4/23/09 or sign up in person on the day of the

tournament (from 12:30pm-1:15pm). Online registration:

If not a member, you must first go to www.uschess.org and click on Join/Renew.

Note: if you have a Westside Park Season Pass you will be reimbursed half of

the entry fee on the day of the tournament.
