The UF Spring Chess Championship

This tournament is open to all players, all ages, not just UF students. The tournament will be rated by the United States Chess Federation (USCF), USCF membership is required.

Three sections: Open, U1600, U1200

4 rounds at Game 60 

Schedule: Rounds at 10am, 12, 2pm and 4pm, late registration: 9am-9:45

Special reduced rate for residents from outside of Alachua County: $5 off any entry fee (reimbursed on day of event)*.

Prizes:

Open section: 1st - $200, 2nd - $100, 3rd - $50, 1st U1800 - $100, 2nd U1800 - $50

U1600: 1st - $100, 2nd $50, trophies to top 3 places.

U1200: 1st - $50, trophies to top 3 places.

You must either register online by 3/19/09 or sign up in person on the day of the tournament. Online registration: www.ufspringchess2009.eventbrite.com  USCF membership required. If not a member, you must first go to www.uschess.org and click on Join/Renew to sign up.

*Out of county residents must show proof of address on day of tournament. (All UF and Alachua County scholastic students considered within county.)
