Details: Campers must bring their own lunch, although morning and afternoon snacks will be provided. Candidate Masters Britt Ryerson and Gregory Kimmel will be the lead instructors. The other staff members are: George Pyne, Monica Dewitt, Holly Ray and Cindy Young. All levels of students are accepted; however the camp is limited to elementary and middle school students. Activities will include: daily lectures, Camp Championship, simultaneous games, blitz, bughouse, as well as outdoor activities and other games. Camp will be held at Lawton Chiles Elementary School, 2525 School House Rd. (by SW 24th Ave), Gainesville
Make checks payable to the Alachua County Scholastic Chess Asso. (ACSCA). The ACSCA can also accept Visa and MasterCard by telephone. Mail completed form to the ACSCA Chess Camp P.O. Box 12197, Gainesville, FL 32604. You are encouraged to sign up early because the camp is expected to fill up quickly. You will receive a receipt for registration and a camp schedule.
-You must include payment for the tuition at the ACSCA Camp. Tuition is $200 and each additional sibling is $100.
-The ACSCA Chess Camp is providing scholarships at the 2009 camp. Any donation to our non-profit educational organization would be applied towards these scholarships.
